Tooting Bec Lido to re-open on 29 March
We are delighted to confirm that the Lido will re-open on Monday 29 March 2021. It will open with the same restrictions as before.
Opening hours are from 7am to 2pm (last swim session at 1pm) until the end of April. Opening hours will increase from May.
The booking system will open on Monday 22 March – swims can be booked up to 14 days in advance.
SLSC membership renewal
Renewing your membership before 31 March not only means you will benefit from a seamless renewal process and help reduce the workload of the membership team, you can also benefit from the £10 early bird discount. Please retain your existing SLSC membership card as this will remain active – as will your Places Leisure account.
Those who renew or join after 1 April, will see a delay before their membership card and Places Leisure account are reactivated or processed as this is not an automated process.
We hope you will agree that SLSC membership is excellent value. It is frustrating that over the past year our time at the Lido has been limited (before lockdown took away the opportunity to swim whenever we wanted, this may have been taken for granted) but most of the costs of running the club have continued during lockdown, as have the costs of maintaining the Lido.
The SLSC has worked tirelessly over the years to keep the Lido open and many are willing to make the sacrifice to make sure it remains a valued and viable resource for generations to come. We also realise that this is a time of financial hardship for many. Do get in touch if you are having difficulty paying your fees.
