SLSC water polo - South London Leeches
You don’t need a Lido pass to join these sessions, just SLSC membership.
South London Leeches is the water polo team of SLSC. We’re proudly both a social and competitive club, open to players of all experience levels.
We have a men’s team who compete in the London and Surrey water polo leagues, and a women’s team who compete in the women’s London league.
We also welcome and cater to complete beginners who want to learn the sport and play for fun.
We train year-round, and enjoy a strong social side that includes many club outings and trips.
Training details
September to May we train indoors Sundays 7:00-9:00pm at London Aquatic Centre, Stratford E20 2ZQ and Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm at St Joseph’s College, Beulah Hill SE 3HL.

May to August we train outdoors 8:00-9.:00pm on Tuesdays at Brockwell Lido SE24 0PA and Thursdays at Tooting Bec Lido SW16 1RU.
The cost of each session is £12.50 (concessions available for £6.25).
For our indoor sessions that run September to May, payment is taken poolside via a card reader, so no need to book in advance.
Who can play
Players of all levels, abilities, genders and backgrounds (18+) are welcomed as long as you can swim and tread water for an extended period of time in deep water. We can teach you how to play water polo but you should already be a competent swimmer.
Men’s team
Our South London Leeches men’s team competes in both the London Water Polo League and the Surrey Water Polo League. Our main rivals are the WT Narwhals with whom we contest the South London derby.
We are always looking for new male players wishing to play competitive water polo, so please get in touch if you are interested.
Extra fees and registrations are associated with joining our men’s team.
Women’s team
Our South London Leeches women’s team competes in the women’s London Water Polo League and play various friendlies throughout the year.

Competitive players
Men and women wishing to compete are required to have Swim England Club Compete membership which runs from 1 January to 31 December each year and costs £49.85. If you’re interested, tick the Category Two box on the membership application page and £49.85 will be added to your payment. If you are already a member please use this link to pay the fee and email membership@slsc.org.uk
Social events 
We’re a really social club, regularly organising events like pub crawls, sports days, quizzes, theatre trips, team dinners and more.
