Opening times at Tooting Bec Lido
The Club holds its races at 9.30am every Sunday and Bank Holiday throughout the year, when swimming will be suspended for a short while. Please plan you visit accordingly.
Tooting Bec Lido is open every day of the year including Christmas Day. Like the water temperature, the Lido opening times change with the seasons. SLSC members can access the Lido at the following times:
Summer opening times (open to the public)
Tooting Bec Lido is open to the public from 1 May to 30 September 2026.
The Lido gets very busy on sunny days. Book your swims through Places Leisure to ensure you get a place. Check their website for session times.
Opening times:
- April 7am – 2pm – last swim 1.30pm
- 1 May – 31 August. 6am – 2.30pm and 3.30pm – 8pm. Pool cleared at 7.45pm. Closed 2.30 to 3.30pm for cleaning
- 1 September to 30 September 6am or sunrise – 5.pm. And for SLSC members only 5.15pm – sunset* Monday to Friday only (not weekends)
Winter opening times (SLSC members only)
Winter swimming at Tooting Bec Lido from 1 October 2026 to 1 May 2027 is only available to SLSC members.
The Lido is open every day during the Winter season – 7am or sunrise*, whichever is the later, until 2pm (water cleared at 1.45pm).
The only exception is Christmas Day (races at 10.30am), Boxing Day (race at 10.00am) and New Years Day (race at 10.00am) when the Lido is open from 8am to 12 noon.

*sunrise and *sunset – the lifeguards MUST be able to see across the pool, so weather conditions may affect the light.

Disabled access
There is:
- A disabled toilet and shower, accessible with a radar key – one is held by the lifeguards
- A hoist which enables people with disabilities to get in and out of the pool with the assistance of the lifeguards
- Disabled car parking spaces but it should be noted that the path from the car park to the Lido entrance is approx 120 yards.
