118 Width Challenge

Celebrate 118 years of Tooting Bec Lido by swimming 118 widths of the pool! Are you up for the challenge of swimming 3.56km at Tooting Bec Lido in 13ᵒC water? You can swim solo or two, three or four person relay, suits or skins.
118 widths = 3,894 yards = 3.56km = 2.21miles

Open to SLSC members only, including under 16s
HOW TO ENTER
Enter online below. Entry fee: solo £12, relay team of 2 £16, relay team of 3 or 4, or family £20
WATER TEMPERATURE?
Chilly. Around 12-14°C
IS THERE A CUT OFF?
110 minutes. All swimmers must be out of the water by 5.20pm
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A WETSUIT?
Wetsuits are not compulsory
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN A RELAY?
Relay teams of two, three or four swimmers, or family of up to five swimmers including at least one under 12 years of age. Relays can split the swim however they like.
IS IT A COMPETITON?
Your swim will be timed, starting at 3.30pm, and there will be medals for solo swimmers and relay teams, in both wetsuit and skins category.
Please bring plenty of warm clothes, including hat and gloves, and a flask of warm drink to warm up after your swim – the cafe will also be open. If you bring a hot water bottle we will fill it with hot water for you.
